Placement Desription
All students will take part in an extensive training programme better preparing them for the rewarding, yet challenging ‘real-life’ experience of working with children and young people within a professional environment. This will include basic administrative skills, understanding the needs of children with a range of neurodevelopmental conditions, safeguarding, health and safety and paediatric first aid.
The placement programme will be split into 2 sessions per week (this can be flexible to meet student timetables). The 2 sessions will include:
Session 1 will be administration/skills development and training.
Session 2 will be hands-on work within group settings, working with children and young people with a spectrum of needs.
