PLACED – Easter School 15-18th April (16-18 years only)
FREE Built Environment, Design and Architecture Easter School, running 15-18th April in Liverpool, funded by HLF and the Key Fund, with support from the University of Liverpool. This year, we are working with the fantastic Lister Steps project to explore the importance of heritage spaces and how old buildings could be re-used for the community.
The programme is open to 14-18 year olds from across the region and each year receives fantastic reviews from the young people who attend.
The four day programme will:
- BE COMPLETELY FREE and no school representatives required
- Give unique insight into careers: Urban design, planning and architecture
- Support applications to University and careers: A strong addition for CVs and applications
- Be enjoyable: Sessions are fun, hands-on and appropriate for all abilities
- Is cross curricular: Links across all subjects. Likely to be particularly suited to students who enjoy design subjects and geography
- Develops skills: Including communication, team working, design, presenting, problem solving and increase
- Offers links with industry: Supported by professionals and university students, young people gain a fantastic opportunity to find out what it is really like first hand.
This is our 11th programme, and they are always very popular. Many previous participants have gone onto study related subjects in university because of taking part. For more details visit our website. Closing date is 17th March. Places are strictly limited to 40 participants.
