Volunteering at The Florrie

Are you looking to get more involved with your local community?

Are you passionate about creating opportunities and activities for all members of the community?

If this sounds like you, we could always do with an extra pair of hands within our friendly team to help to make the exciting Florrie events we hold throughout the year a roaring success.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us put on events, support people and raise additional funds and awareness of The Florrie by organising fundraising events and building links with community groups, local businesses and individuals.

We can provide creative ideas and practical materials to enable you to run your own events here at The Florrie on our behalf as well as supporting you throughout the planning process.

If fundraising is not for you but you would still like to volunteer there is still plenty to get involved with and we welcome your time and skills here at The Florrie.

Perhaps you’d like to contribute a couple of hours at a one-off workshop? Or maybe you’d like to take part in a group discussion or organise a tea dance for your neighbours or hold a movie night once a fortnight?

We know that your time is precious so we will work with you to make sure you to get the most out of your experience with us. There are many ways that you, your school, your group or company can get involved. From working directly with local people and running your own activities, to working with us on our marketing campaigns, or perhaps you’re an computer whizz and can run sessions in our IT suite or help out with facility management, there are many aspects of The Florrie you can choose to get involved with!
