Sustainable Fashion Charity Event – Clothes Swap 20th March

Did you know that clothing accounts for around 12% of global greenhouse emissions and is the world’s second largest industrial polluter?

Fashion is often referred to as a frivolous affair, but if we make an effort to ‘recycle’ what is already out there, it could make a big difference to tackling one part of the climate crisis. Finding your own unique style is key to buying less and looking after the planet, whilst still looking great!

As part of this effort, the Learning Exchange is the location for a Sustainable Fashion event, where you’ll not only have an opportunity to donate some unloved clothing, but also get the chance to take away items that are new to you!

The Sustainable Fashion event will take place on Monday 20 March in the Learning Exchange canteen from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. You will be able to take away new-to-you clothes and have the opportunity to donate money to charity.

You can make a donation to Marie Curie directly via our JustGiving page or in charity buckets available at the event.

Keep an eye out for updates about this event and more information.

All proceeds raised from sales will be donated to Marie Curie charity.
