Students’ contribution recognised by 2017 winner in Regional Tourism Awards
Students from The City of Liverpool College received recognition recently after a locally produced play which showcased their talents was a winner at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards.
Students from level 2 and 3 courses in Costume, Fashion and Art created a range of scenery and props as well as costumes for the characters performing in the The Alice Experience, which won the Small Tourism Event of the Year category at this year’s star studded event.
A spokesperson for ‘In Another Place’, the community theatre company who produced the play, said: “Our gratitude goes out to all those who made The Alice Experience a remarkable success. This award would not be possible without the creativity and hard work of all those involved in the show.”
This annual awards event, held in St George’s Hall in May, is now in its third year and celebrates success and achievement of the best tourism businesses and people across the city region’s thriving Visitor Economy.
