Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Awards: 2015-16

Another successful year comes to a close on the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) programme at…The City of Liverpool College

To mark the occasion, successful students who followed the year-long programme were awarded Bronze at a special DofE Awards ceremony on Tues 28 June 2016.

The deserving candidates, all from a range of courses across the college curriculum, achieved the award by completing four disciplines, which were performed under the titles of: physical; volunteering; skill; and expedition.

Certificates and badges were presented to the students from NW England’s DofE operations officer, Paul Ridings, and Head of Pastoral Support at the college, Aamir Butt.

Congratulations to all our students who took part in the programme.

Sixty Years of Duke of Edinburgh Success…

In a separate event that took place recently to celebrate the popularity and success of the course across the country, college DofE manager, Beverley Abbott, attended Buckingham Palace on behalf of the college, to mark the 60th anniversary of Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.  Beverley was presented with a plaque by celebrity couple, David and Frankie Seaman, in recognition of the college’s continued commitment to the Duke of Edinburgh programme.
