Students recreate music icon’s classic album covers
Students from The City of Liverpool College used their creative talents recently to pay tribute in pictures to one of music industry’s artistic geniuses.
Photography students teamed up with fellow learners from the college’s hair and beauty section to transform their appearance and recreate the famous album covers of music legend David Bowie.
The idea behind the project came from photography tutor Jen Kweeday, who was raised on Bowie’s music through her father’s influence. The brief was intended to extend the students’ range of skills by working in collaboration with different creative teams to achieve the end result.
It was a fitting tribute to the legendary singer who, aged 69, lost his 18 month battle with cancer in January after an illustrious career spanning five decades.
