Trampoline champion is on top of the world
A construction student is at the top of his game after a gold medal performance at the twenty-fourth international trampoline gymnastics competition held in Denmark last week.
Seventeen-year-old Daniel Sale, who is studying for a L1 Diploma in Plastering at Vauxhall Road, was crowned world champion in the 17-18 years men’s double-Mini Trampoline category, and broke the United Kingdom record as the first British junior to gain world champion title.
Daniel was part of a thirty-five strong Great Britain team who scooped a total of 18 medals across all three disciplines in the Trampoline, Tumbling & DMT World Age Competitions, after a closely fought battle for coveted titles against stars from the Olympic, World and European gymnastics stage.
Following on from this world-class achievement, Daniel will move up a category in his discipline and compete at a senior level in the future.
