Platinum Award for Public Services Cadets
A group of students in training for a career in public services, took one step closer to their dream job recently when they were presented with a skills award from the Royal Air Force (RAF).
The Platinum Partner award, which highlights accomplishments of students in a variety of practical skills, was presented to the group for activities undertaken over the past twelve months. The tasks set a challenge for the group to become competent in a number of key skills including team work, leadership, fitness testing, orienteering and first aid training.
The students spent time at RAF Cosford to get involved in ‘real work’ experience using hi-tech engineering and flight simulators and also attended a number of seminars to engage with key service personnel from different areas of the RAF.
