Student takes on EU with e-book VAT petition
Business student, Josh Woodworth, is taking on the European Union with his online petition to scrap VAT on e-books.
This action follows a recent European Union Court of Justice ruling that electronic books are different to their paper counterparts and should be classed as an “electronic service”.
Josh first brought the issue to the attention of a panel of local MPs who were invited into the College in March, during a “Question Time” style event with students from the College.
