Climate Challenge 2015
Three level 2 Business students were overall winners of this year’s Climate Challenge competition, in a bid to design the ultimate eco home.
Phillip Powell, Ruth Sealey and Talha Majid took their idea to the top and were awarded the accolade of ‘Best in Class’.
The winning team were amongst twelve groups in the contest that had to design a home of the future, and present their vision to judges within a two hour timeframe.
The panel were impressed by the standard throughout but chose the winning entry because of the recycled materials used and its simple, achievable construction. The winners each received shopping vouchers as part of their prize.
The event, which took place in Vauxhall Road, was devised by Business students to demonstrate the range of work-related abilities, including organisation, planning and team working skills, amongst students on the level 2 business course.
