Small Changes Make a Big Difference
Tate Liverpool, in partnership with the The City of Liverpool College, is running a new programme to develop community learning in 13 skills centres for young people and adults across the city.
Participants from The City of Liverpool College at Walton Skills Centre have been working with artist Ailie Rutherford as part of a six-week residency to co-create new work in their local environment.
The group chose to focus on local history and designed a series of banners inspired by Robert Tressell, who is buried at Walton cemetery. The group hopes to raise awareness with younger generations about Robert Tressell, and his importance as a writer, as well as keeping local history alive.
