Students get Creative on the Catwalk
The City’s young designers of the future got a taste of life in the fast lane recently when they organised an event at the International Hobby craft show held in Manchester on 6-8 February.
The City of Liverpool College fashion students put together the programme for a runway presentation featuring designs from their own collections. Students also had the chance to exhibit a collection of ‘subtraction dresses’ which stole the show and showcased their range of specialist technical and print designs skills.
This international three-day event attracts an audience from around the world, including enthusiasts, professionals and industry experts from the craft and design industries. This is the second year College students have organised the event that not only demonstrates their creative abilities but also the range of skills required to run a successful event, both in front and behind the scenes.
